Manchester & Stockport Methodist District
Year of Prayer for Discernment
The District Prayer Group have planned a series of events each month across the district for this Year of Prayer For Discernment in 2018/19. During the year there are lots of other prayer events going on so, in each month where there is a prayer initiative already we offer links to resources for local churches to join in with these in their own contexts.
Please for more information and a printable poster for your church.
Greetings from the District prayer group and more specifically from me. My name is Amy Hill and I have agreed to be the "Prayer Champion" for the Stockport Circuit. Earlier this year at the District Synod it was agreed that the District would engage in a Year of Prayer for Discernment.
The idea is that all the churches in the District would be encouraged to pray earnestly seeking to listen to what God is asking us to do, in our own journey and the journeys we travel with others and with District.
There will be lots of events happening across the District or suggestions of what might happen if local churches wish to pray for the light of discernment in their own context.
If you wish to contact me my e-mail address is:
We would also like you to share any initiatives you might have going on or ones you start as part of this initiative.
If I can be of any help to you in your endeavours please do not hesitate to get in touch.
