We had a series of Community Days between September and Christmas.
A Coffee Morning for McMillan Nurses which raised £200.00
The Christmas Fayre in November was well attended and we had some help from the Guides.
The money from that went to the Wellspring Rucksack Appeal.
We managed to provide 6 Full Rucksacks (which includes Sleeping Bags Toiletries Food etc.)
In December we had a very enjoyable Curry & Carols evening. It was mainly intended for
St John's and Edgeley Folk but such is its popularity that more people wanted to come.
Through the Advent and Christmas period we had some shared services with Edgeley.
This led to a meeting between the Church Leaders to see if we could work together more.
We are going to have a joint service once a month including a Songs of Praise in August.
In February one of our members (Barbara who has been coming to St John's all her life) celebrated her 90th Birthday. Her Grandfather started St John's.
She decided to have her party at St John's inviting Family, Friends (old and new), and Church members past and present. We all had a really good afternoon meeting people.
She didn't want any presents so she asked for donations instead.
This meant that £300.00 was given to Wellspring.
Thank you for all your support,
