As you know, on Sunday, 1st September, we will be welcoming Rev'd Cathy Bird in a service at Hazel Grove Methodist Church at 11.00 am. After the service we will join in a bring and share lunch. In order to make sure every area is catered for, and that we have enough(!), not only for ourselves but also for Cathy, her family, friends and other guests, please could each Church give a rough estimate of how many people from their own church are likely to attend the service; how many children you expect to come -- and what ages they may be, and also how many will be attending the lunch. This will be a great opportunity to get to know our new friends across the new Circuit, and also to get to see Cathy.
In order to share the work in putting on the lunch, could each church also please bring some items from the attached list, letting us know who is bringing what and how much. (If it turns out that we only have fruit or only cakes, we might have to get back to you and ask you to reconsider!) Hazel Grove Methodists have very kindly offered to provide tea, coffee and squash for the occasion, and also the sandwiches.
We would be very grateful if everyone could do what they can to make this very special event a wonderful welcome and celebration.
If, when you have made your lists you can email your answers through to Beryl Keeley of Hazel Grove Methodist Church email@example.com> preferably by early August.
Looking forward to seeing as many people as possible there on the 1st September.
